For those of you having a baby boy; if you are having him circumcised here are some things to remember:

• After the circumcision is done the baby needs to urinate prior to leaving the hospital. Not all hospitals have this rule, so ask your baby's doctor when you should call if he doesn't urinate.
• If you are having a Bris/Brit, this would be something you will need to watch for and inform your baby's doctor if he hasn't urinated in 3-6 hours after the procedure.
• Clean the area with clear water, apply vaseline to a 3x3 gauze and put it over the circumcision to prevent it from sticking to the diaper. If you don't have any 3x3 gauze just apply the vaseline to the circumcision site.
• A whitish covering will form and this is normal part of the healing process.
• If there is any question about the appearance of the circumcision please call the baby's doctor.
